Acrylic Floor Covering

ACRYLIC FLOOR COATING

What is Acrylic Floor Coating, and What Are Its Features?

  1. Acrylic floor coating is a material designed for aesthetic, decorative, hygienic, non-slip, weather-resistant, and temperature-resistant use in various areas, both indoors and outdoors, on small or large surfaces. It is a road and floor coating material that can withstand heavy foot traffic and chemicals. It is composed of water-based acrylic resin modified with various synthetics and specially designed for sports fields. It is preferably applied on asphalt or concrete with an asphalt or specific primer in various colors.

Advantages of Acrylic Floor Coating:

  1. It is inorganic pigment-based, providing long-lasting and fade-resistant properties.
  2. It has a fast-drying feature.
  3. It has high resistance to color and brightness, alkali, oxidation, hardness, adhesion, and binding strength, as well as a long film life.
  4. It is waterproof and weather-resistant.
  5. It has high adhesion strength but allows the surface to breathe.
  6. Suitable for both indoor and outdoor applications.

How is the Application of Acrylic Floor Coating Done?

LAYERS OF ACRYLIC FLOOR COATING:

  1. PRIMER (EPOXY PRIMER ON CONCRETE)
  2. RESURFACER
  3. CUSHION LAYER
  4. COLOR LAYER
  5. LINE PAINT

Technical Specifications:

  • Asphalt or concrete surfaces with correctly given slopes should first be rid of any dust, dirt, and moisture.
  1. PRIMER:

    • Acrylic Primer for Tennis Court Surfaces
    • Product Description: Primer is a transparent, single-component acrylic polymer.
    • Purpose of Use: A single layer of primer is applied to the floor using rollers. The primer is a layer that ensures a strong bond between the floor and the floor coating material.
  2. RESURFACER:

    • Acrylic Resurfacer for Tennis Court Surfaces
    • Product Description: Resurfacer is a concentrated, 100% acrylic latex-bound polymer mixed with silica sand, applied to asphalt surfaces.
    • Purpose of Use: Resurfacer is used to increase the degree of adhesion between the concrete or asphalt surface where the tennis court system will be applied and the cushion system, as well as to fill the pores on the surface.
  3. CUSHION LAYER:

    • Product Description: Cushion is a special granulometric rubber and high-performance latex-bound pigment-free tennis court substrate.
    • Purpose of Use: Cushion is applied optionally in 1-3 layers on top of Resurfacer. Thus, special rubber particles create a compressed homogeneous thickness of 1-3 mm, providing elasticity to the floor.
  4. COLOR LAYER:

    • Silica Sand-Filled Acrylic Tennis Court Paint
    • Product Description: It is a high-quality coating filled with silica sand and 100% acrylic latex binding, and special colors can be produced upon request.
    • Usage Areas: Formulated with a specific texture to control the game speed. Its application with a rubber pull-squeegee ensures a very smooth, hard, and tear-resistant coating with homogeneous distribution of silica sand down to the smallest points on the floor. Color alternatives include tile red, dark green, and light green.
    • Usage Quantity: 1,000 gr/m2 (for 3 layers).
  5. LINE PAINT:

    • Acrylic Marking Paint for Game Area Lines
    • Product Description: Silica sand-filled/unfilled 100% acrylic latex-bound paint, and high-quality line paint that can be produced in special colors upon request.
    • Usage Areas: Used to determine necessary lines and marks on game areas.

Usage Areas of Acrylic Floor Coating: Acrylic floors can be used in structures such as sports halls, stores, supermarkets, hospitals, and schools. Its high resistance, easy cleaning, and low maintenance make acrylic advantageous in such commercial applications.
